Just got off the handphone not too long ago with Esther. I wasn't much I could do for her, but I'm glad our little chat made her feel better. JC students sure have it rough.
I can relate to her worries. When you find something you're passionate about and want to pursue it in a university only to realise it is highly competitive, you'll get a lot of insecurities, doubts and mounting pressure. I understand the 'mounting pressure' bit, alright. I've giving all the B+'s I've got last semester fleeting looks of disgust each time I get my reports or exam grades. Sometimes, I'm not happy with A's either. Lol -.-
ESTHER. GO FOR IT."Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." ~Les Brown
And even if you don't land among the stars, I'll be there to catch you. (:
I've learnt a lot this year. The most important of which is to fight for what you want. Never resign yourself to the status quo. It is better to have tried than to not try at all. If you try and it fails, at least you won't spend the rest of your life thinking about the "What could have been's". Regret can haunt you for eternity.
I've my own demons to fight too. Haha (:
