Some birthday celebration I've having this year. My parents haven't talk to each other since April and I doubt things are going to improve in the near future. Even when my father SMS-ed me to ask if mother would agree to a family celebration the next day, she was all, "My friend invited me to her daughter's 21st birthday celebration tomorrow!"

I deadpanned for a second before regaining my cool and mumbling a "mm ok". What else could I say? My feelings were hurt. I was frustrated. How long is she planning to go on being an escapist and avoiding my father? When I told my father that I would celebrate with him the next day, he showed a split second's annoyance as well. Same reaction as mine.

So I celebrated with my mother at the Swenson's outlet at Causeway Point. Cookies and cream ice cream was superb!
